Can someone with an All Star 3 post the first panels or page with them all together

The splash of AS 3 is the same image as the cover (except there is a fireplace behind the table) so here's the last page when they get back together after the first story -

..... I took this pic for you guys this morning....one of the rarest pre-golden age "1st panels" you could ever hope to see, so important it was the direct inspiration for the concept of Superman being featured in his own comic book --

In some cases, like with Spectre, you will have the promo head shot that pre-dated his first appearance in More Fun #52.

Thanks. I always wanted to see that. I remember reading about it a long time ago, however my memory tells me the ad was in Detective 26 or was there a different one? confused.gif

There is also an advertisement for Batman in Detective #26. I don't have an image of it so I'm not sure if it's the same or not.

Wait a minute, where's his cigar and bottle of booze? Don't tell me he's been rebooted.

Honestly, that's why this thread is here. Not Batman or the Spectre. It's the Detective Chimps of the world that need more exposure. Now who can show us the first Gay Ghost?

From Feb. 1947, Funny Stuff #18 Here is the 1st app. of Dodo & the frog. From one small story in the back of this 52 page comic, they went on to take the cover next issue, run for 61 issues of this title, then it switched to 13 issues of their own comic and 33 appearances in the Funny Animal run of Comic Cavalcade. There are also some 1 pager reprint appearances in Its gametime. They were resurrected for 1 appearance in 1985's Funny Stuff stocking stuffer, and supposedly a few issues of Captain Carrot, but I've never seen those.
