I still dont know where Stan is finding box after box of comics when he swore for years that he never kept any.....

Sort of like how Chuck keeps coming up with mile high I, II, etc. copies of books. The power of attaching a known "pedigree" or marketing pedigree in this case to a book will always drive the price up. I'm generally suspicious about it too.

For those that bid live in San Diego & win, guess u have to add the 15% juice plus CA state tax to pick up the lot right away. How much is tax(es) in CA? 893frustrated.gif

Sales tax in CA is 7.75%. Ouch!

ew that's too bad. I've never understood fully this live auction bidding.. so lets say I bid online via their website.. I'm the high bidder at the end.. do they then go to the actual auction floor and start the item off at my bid (since it's the highest) or do they start it at the minimum and bid it up.. then whoever has the highest bid (internet or auction floor) wins? I would do the live bidding through eBay live.. but I think it's retarded to have to pay 20 percent commission there..

If you bid $500 on the internet and the highest other bid is $415 (I think, but follow me) you will win at $425 (the next bid increment). If you are on the phone on the floor, I would be careful about saying that you could do $500 since they'll put that bid on the floor when you could have had it for the $425 next bid . . .

Ok, but lets say I'm bidding on the website.. before the auction. I bid 500 the auction ends on the website for 425.. will they start it off at 425 or at the max of my bid?

k thanks, I don't trust doing phone bids.. and don't really want to toss away an extra 5 percent playing the bid game on eBay.. so I'm gonna just try to come away with the books I want through website bidding.

Well I finished up with a watchlist of 106 comics.. including G.A., S.A., and B.A.

Not the largest watch list I've had but certainly not small either.. looks like it's a very good auction for Marvel fans. smile.gif

How's everyone elses watchlist shaping up?
