PGM FF 10 - Another Curveball

This book presents really nice... 7.0 - 7.5 territory IMO...

 

EXCEPT, it has a 1/2 inch crescent shaped tear on the top left edge. Tear lays flat. Excellent color and gloss.

If that tear is the only remarkable defect , then 6.0

Have to guess technical 5.5 tops, even with the overall eye appeal. It's not just a clean tear; there's quite a bit of roughness in that corner. Still a pretty book.

Thanks everyone. Initially I had this entered into ComicBase as a VG+ due to the tear, but you've convinced me that I was a bit tough on it. I will raise it to 5.0 (or maybe 5.5.) I think either grade is defensable.

Should be a 5.0 if:

1) pages aren't affected (much).

2) piece is still firmly attached. Give it a tug...

If this book were in my collection, I would carry it as a 4.5.

I can see the case for a higher grade though, the rest of the book is a solid FN....
