There are no tears on both covers, the missing black ink on the top of the FC is from the distributors ink overspray.

Technical 5.5 - Eye appeal 5.0 - the black cover really accents the spine flaws.

 

I have fond memories of the early issues of this series - I was never a big Tuska fan, but his style really worked on this book. I should pick up the Hero for Hire issues again sometime - unlike Divad - my original BA books are pretty much long gone

 

 

Why couldn't I have gotten nostalgic in the early 90s, when most of these BA keys were still less than $10.

Black covers are ruthless for highlighting what would be a 6.0-6.5 lighter cover. I'm going with a solid 6.0
