What is the impact of dinged corners on grades?

I've been attempting to find a 9.8 Watchmen #1 by ordering as many copies of those advertised as NM+ to Mint as I can afford off of eBay. I've purchased about 8 copies now and all of them are in wonderful condition with the exception of the corners. I can't seem to land one with an unblemished corner! How much does the corner impact the grading of a comic book from the Copper age?
