another recent pick up, really ruff book, but IMO a book like this is great in any grade,

first appearance of one of my all time favorite if not my #1 favorite villian

i usually grade books with large pieces missing no better than 1.5 which is exactly what i would grade this book! i agree still a great one that is for the most part presentable.

As I slowly scrolled down, I was wondering how it could be a 2.0 as it looked better. Then came the clipped corner. Ouch.

 

But still, a nice "key" to own.

maybe you can add a .3 for a 1.8

Clean looking copy...is that a tape stain from interior tape on the front cover along the tear line. Any other tape in or on the book?

well i guess if you wanna call it a 1.8 go ahead! i am not crazy about it but it is a free country after all so until reed richards builds the super grading computer that can't possibly be wrong by any margin whatsoever i can be reasonably sure that my guess is at least pretty close to actual grade for the most part unless i get it totally wrong, miss something or continue to do this for so many rears that even a good pair of glasses won't help me to see the defects that are clear to everyone around me which sounds alot like growing old gracefully don't you think?

The thing I loved about that book was that it layed nice and flat and was solid to hold. The scans are deceiving because of the spine giving it a flimsy appearance which it isn't.

yeah its definately much nicer in hand then in scan
