Couldn't agree more. If I was going to spend a $100k on art I would do just that -- BUY ART... something that the artist spent some amount of time conceptualizing and creating... that emoted a feeling... that provokes thought... that had COLOR painted on it! Not a messy etching that was probably drawn in a day or two (if that) with glue splattered on it, white out, and stray pencil marks all over it. [but I guess some folks just have a lot of money to burn].

If it exists it is priceless and should go on display in some museum same with Action 1, Batman 1 and Detective comics 27.

From someone who hasn't never bought any OA...

 

$100,000 seems a lot for the cover to a non-key SA book.

 

Maybe 39 or 40 or 50 are worth $100,000.
