to crack or not to crack part 3

ok guys, this isnt a very special book, but i really like it...one of my first pre 100 asm's

now the question isnt really will it raise the grade, cuz its a pretty ugly book, but if cracking it, might have a negative affect on the book..?

any opinions..?

are you going to sell it or read it....crack it if you don't have another to read...or pick up another and leave it slabbed...it's not too expensive.

quite honestly...iv gotten to the point where i find slabbed books irritating, im not a grade collector so i have no reason for slabs, so im slowly cracking every slab i have, unless (much like my asm 4) the book looks like it could get easily worsened outside the slab

basically what im asking is .... do u think the slab is the safest place for this book, or do u think itll be fine in a mylar?

1.8 Crack and read. Save the sticker for when you up-grade and sell it.

A thick Mylar will probably be ok, but again, i would think it is safest right where it is now...

If preservation is the main concern, I'd leave it where it is.

 

If preservation and enjoyment is your main concern, I'd crack and put it in a heavy mylar with fullback.

I would leave it in it's hard plastic tomb if it were mine.... personally, I think thats the best place for a early spidey book in that condition.
