Without trying to sound like a jerk, its a nice copy, you should be very happy that someone gave it to you for free, and leave it at that flowerred.gif
I am confused-smiley-013.gif

I just like to have a grade with my books, it means nothing else then just that. thumbsup2.gif

And you're not a jerk no matter what. flowerred.gif

As I know what you mean. thumbsup2.gif

And for the other poster, umm, I think it's dog eared, I didn't take a look. 27_laughing.gif

I think I had it up as a Fine, mainly due to the various issues on the back, i.e., someone wrote their name and pone # on the interior of the back cover. The front presents pretty decently, aside from the shadow line.

And it wasn't free per se, I felt bad he had gotten a bit hosed on buying a moldy ASM 102 from his LCS, so we traded. I figure this way I free up some more of silvers' pocket money so that maybe he can have some extra to take a girl out on a date!

I was going to send him a price guide too, but over the course of a long time of putzing around to ship his package off, I lost the darn thing and someone else (old guy?) had wound up sending him on anyway.

This is actually one of the very few semi-expensivish SA books where I have multiple copies and something in this condition is actually the lower grade copy. My nicer ASM 47 is in the "don't sell unless you need to" box. Usually when I have multiples they consist of multiple copies between G/VG and Fine. So I was a bit less angst ridden sending it off to a new home.

Indeed we did, however...now I feel bad for sending you a moldy ASM 102, if I had somethin better to send, I would have.

Oh, and unless you can ship a nice looking girl to me, I doubt a date will happen.

Afterall, girl's don't like comic geeks/freaks, and so on. 27_laughing.gif

And I'm lazy and 893blahblah.gif

Yep, oldguy sent me a copy of OS, so it worked out. acclaim.gif

Well man, just don't be a geek/freak about it then! Most of the [straight] guys on this board are married, engaged, in a long-term relationship or at least have a girlfriend.

Collecting vintage stuff is a lot easier for a regular non-comic reading gal to understand though. It's old, people collect old things, yaddah yaddah. Plus, you don't have to hide absurd looking semi-pornographic covers or rob liefield "no woman could possibly look like this" covers from them. Actually, I don't think I've ever met a woman who thought there was anything wrong per se with collecting the old stuff, only when it cuts into your budget for spending money on them!

893scratchchin-thumb.gif, I get a sence of you implying something. 27_laughing.gifstooges.gif kidden.

No, I'm just being super politically correct. I work at an agency where you have to be very careful how you phrase things, so making a statement assuming that everyone is straight, let's say, would be frowned upon, when 5-10% of the audience probably is not. Hey, what can I say, it's the lawyer in me.
