As for the Wonderbread cleaning, I never tried it. I understand from other topics I should use a real slice of bread. But what kind of bread? I'm no kidding, I really don't know!

I live in Italy, so I really don't know what "wonderbread" is! I just searched on my dictionary, with no success. Do you have a picture of this wonder bread?

It doesn't have to be Wonderbread. As long as it is regular WHITE bread, and not wheat or wholemeal bread with the grain inside. Scraping chunks of wheat and grain along your comic book covers is NOT advisable.

I know this topic has been covered to death , but don't the oils in the bread have a detrimental effect on the paper or colors in the long run??,...I mean if oils rom your hand can damage a book think of what cooking oils can do.
