:takeit: other peoples money to buy that chew 9.9 that dice has

How much is it? hm

$290....american or $5 canadian

$290? Selling on here? I have to prepare for my Chew registry battle with Jason

:sumo: You have learned a lot young padawan, but you still have far to travel.

Word of advice, and I think Steve (the EvilAsh Steve) would agree. Don't crack your 9.9's or your 10's for sigs. I almost made the mistake of doing that with my one 10 book I had to get an additional sig on it, but was pleasantly suprised when the book showed up from Steve with that sig already on it! :headbang:

I was considering my #1 9.9 or my #2 10.0 but I haven't been sleeping much lately. zzz

I know you had to have dropped some dime on those two so just wanted to give you the friendly heads up. They would be gorgeous in a yellow label, but I would hate for them to come back as a 9.8...

Exactly, DO NOT crack anything over a 9.8 for a signature.....

The smallest little bit of handling can knock a 10.0 or 9.9 down to a 9.8 2c

In honor of branget, I have a funny story that references Canada.

So my wife's best friend is from Canada... came down here for college, got her CPA and works with my wife. Well, her mom had to have emergency surgery for a stomach ulcer last week, so she's packing up her laptop at work to take with her home when she's seeing her mom so she can work. All of the girls are sitting around talking about how they hope she gets better, and my wife, "the genious", sticks her foot in her mouth. She made a joke that the two of us make at home to each other a lot from the current healthcare debate... so she trying to be funny tells her friend "well ,it's too bad your mom's in the hospital in Canada, what with that socialized medicine and all... you know the doctors are just going to kill her right?"

she totally meant it as a sarcastic joke, but had the worst timing...

dumb story for me to tell, but I'm still laughing to myself about it today.

yah yah yah, I know... it's something I want for sentimental reasons. Been imposible to find a copy that doesn't have bad spine dings. Those foil covers get the worst creases.

What are the chances WD 61 and 64 end up on the Chew registry? Must resist.

you know jason that hama and broderick both worked on planet of vampires (with covers by chaykin) and hama is going to be at a show that cgc will have a booth so you could have 2/3 of the team that worked on the book in the span of a month and a few days...

just sayin'

still debating if i want to go to that one, mlmeade is going to be there.

Ooops, meant WD #63...

I think that one should be on the registry since it's a flip book with Chew...

WD 61 is just a preview, so I doubt that one will

Since it's a flip book and I know how fanatical you Chew boys are...it can be included.

Just remind me when it comes up for creation.... (don't tell Dover I was here....)

The first con I ever went to was a Marvel show. I had a sub through marvel for Doom 2099. Took issues 1-9 to be signed by Broderick. Issue 9 came in the mail the day of the show. Pat hadn't seen the finished product yet. He actually got up from the long line of artist that you would move through for sigs, went out into the lobby with me and did sigs and sketches on all of my books and spent a good 25-30 minutes just shooting the hay with me and talking about the book.

Unfortunately, I no longer have the books. They were destroyed when our house flooded a couple of years later, but it was an experience I still remember vividly and really enjoyed.

Been trying to get a copy of Doom 2099 #1 CGC 9.8 SS by him since I started collecting again, but haven't been able to find a 9.8 quality copy.
