I once bet a mate £50 to eat 25 Snickers bars.

 

And.....

 

 

He took the bet, ate all 25... threw up 4 times and was off work the next day.

 

But he won the bet.

The ironic thing was he was earning £50 a day at that time... so no loss of earnings when he had to phone into the foreman as he was sick as a dog.

 

It was a win all round.

 

He kept his income, pride and had a day off.

But developed a lifelong dislike for Snickers bars.

 

Not sure about that.... but he did go a bit nutty!

 

Were they called Marathons back then?

 

Mars UK changed the name of its Marathon bar to Snickers in 1990, so probably not.
