Remember very well when I heard he'd passed away. A friend of mine texted me (yes, there's been texting for over a decade now) while I was in Amsterdam on a brief trip with the missus. It was bitterly cold as I recall. Spent the day being miserable after receiving the news. No possibility of a Clash reunion...not that it would've happened, but there was a faint chance as Strummer and Jones were getting on again and had just done a benefit gig together.
