I have thought to myself and to others that some people get a nudge on the boards in their grades. Sometimes it could be due to a "buddy grade" or sometimes, as Point Five mentions, certain defects either a) show up worse in scans than others or b) certain defects just get downgraded worse than others based on personal opinion.

 

In any case I've seen Mike's books get hammered on occassion so I doubt he is receiving a "buddy grade".

 

I would prefer a spine tick or two to a corner rounding color loss bump anyday for what thats worth.
