HELP!! eBay got me again (part 25...) Ink(?) Stain FC ASM #252

All,

I just purchased an ASM #252 off of eBay from jscomics (no, I'm not bashing the seller). It was stated in the ad the comic was NM+. Well, it arrived today and would have been a NM- EXCEPT there is some kind of black (newspaper) ink-like stain on the FC on the white Amazing Spiderman Title Letters...Any thoughts or ways to remove it without damaging it or "restoring it)...I wrote the seller about either a partial refund if I keep it or a full refund if I return it. I'm not sure how that will go, though...I'll probably get a negative FB for even asking ...Any thoughts?

recall they aren't that hard nosed ( unlike comix32 ).

well, if that's a "printing defect"...maybe they'll say it's ok in NM....

 

I think that comes from a dirty printing press or being in a bundle where the ink on the comic (or sheet if it hasn't been dount yet) just above it isn't totally dry yet

sounds like a transfer stain. don't let FFB find out you're saying books were ever stacked wet off the press
