So I could see this book slammed to a VF+

Would a bindery tear like that on a otherwise NM, or NM+ book

get down graded that much? I know we'll find out soon enough,

I'm just curious.

 

I'm refering to my Overstreet guide.

 

Is that a bindery tear? Is there a telltale give away? Looked like a problem corner to me ... I'll jump in with an 8.5. She's a beaut!

I think the tear on the bottom of the spine knocks this otherwise 9.2/9.4 book down to a 9.0

 

 

There's a NCB crease/impression on the back cover that runs from just below the 'T' in 'DUTY' down to the roof of the red van.

 

 

Full grade point seems fair.

I'd have no problem calling the book NM without the impact crease. Considering it goes thru the whole book, I think it warranted the smackdown.

NM copy someone plucked from the rack...

 

 

+ 2 horizontal NCB spinner-rack creases/impressions that extend across the back cover...

 

= nicest VF+ I own.

Cant see the creases but this one looks better then the assigned grade from a scan.

Possible. It would be interesting to see the notes and see
