Would a bindery tear like that on a otherwise NM, or NM+ book

get down graded that much? I know we'll find out soon enough,

Before revealing the grade on this one, I'd like to get your opinions on a couple more. Rather than start another thread, I'll just post them in here.

Is that a bindery tear? Is there a telltale give away? Looked like a problem corner to me ... I'll jump in with an 8.5. She's a beaut!

I see impact dents on the back cover, bottom spine going diagonal to bottom edge. Again the rest of the book looks real pretty, maybe NM- but with the damage to the bottom I would say VF/VF+

Crease goes thru the whole book but doesn't break color on the FC

 

You'd say NM- if it wasn't there?

Those pesky back covers can really change a grin to a frown.

 

I checked my ASM # 298 which has a great NM/M front cover, and

the back has three stress marks.

 

I'll say 8.5 on Godzilla.
