AF #15 $150K!!!

114 posts in this topic

What would he price the 9.6 at?

Considering this very book sold for $86,000 at a public auction in March of this year, I think his pricing is a little aggressive.

I guess that means if someone is asking more than 86K for it,they are being too aggressive? How about spider-man 2 coming next year? Prices will be back up.

No, $86,000 is obviously not the end-all of pricing for an AF 15. I actually think that was a really good price for that book. I really expected it to sell for around $100,000. Maybe a little more.

At this point in time, $150,000 is another matter entirely. Maybe next year it will look like a bargain, but for right now it'd really be stretching the market.

since when do you care? What differance does it make if i gave up some common books that you dream about for 14? You didn't pay it,so why you so concerned with what people do or sell or buy or how much they paid for it? I can't even sneeze without you knowing about it, Looks like you have nothing else better to do to me. 893frustrated.gif

The beauty of this hobby is that somone can flip some books that they don't really care about for something that they do care about. On the surface, it may appear that Kevin, for example, gave up more than a certain amount, dollarwise, than he actually layed out, but only Kevin would know what the value of the books he gave up is worth to him.

Trade deals, or trade + cash deals are like that. Very hard to calculate. Kevin may have been into the Cap and Hulk for nothing and seized a good opportunity to get something he really wanted. Plus, how wrong could he have gone getting a Spiderman 14 in CGC 9.4. In years to come, that #14 will still remain one of the 25 Marvel "Blue-Chip" comics and he has the item in the "right" grade. In the coming years, it won't matter whether he's in for $10Gs or less, $11Gs, $12Gs, or even more, part cash, part trade.

More power to him. He offed some common books, and even though they were high grade, of no great rarity at all for one great item that you can count the number of existing copies of in that grade or better on your hands. He made a sound deal from this bystanders vantagepoint, and I would assume has absolutely no regrets about it. It's an awesome issue in a rarely seen, rarely offered grade.

Stop the press, what is this??? 27_laughing.gif I'm glad someone "gets it" I wasn't attached to a Cap 100 or a Hulk 181 anymore,Rather have a nice rare NM book like the 14,I have no regrets about and would do it all over again if I had too.Spider-man is becoming the next superman
