COLTS WIN!!!

80 posts in this topic

well, first, it wasn't the 1995 Ravens -- but with Dilfer I think it was a re-sign situation. Still, even that's a little unusual.

who cares about the year.. but how convenient that it was a " re-sign" situation. He sucked ... and should be fell blessed to be on a team that could win it with defence that particular year.

It was the 2000 Ravens for those keeping score at home. grin.gif

Good game for the first half. Second half....not so much.

Yeah, pretty much.

The double back to back fumbles and resulting changes of possession was quite entertaining as was the opening kickoff return.

The Colts are lucky the Bears didn't get hot in the second half because the Colts couldn't put them away. They allowed them to stay just in striking distance.

Co-MVPs should have been awarded to both running backs, but that's debatable. Besides, with all the drama over Peyton finally getting to a Super Bowl AND winning it, you knew they were going to give the MVP to him.

Overall, entertaining game. Commercials sucked, by and large. Prince? yeahok.gif whatever

Seems like more attention is placed on half time shows and commercials instead of what is most important, the game.

Prediction - The Bears will have a new QB next year.

That guy is the worst QB I have ever seen in a superbowl EVER...

I mean, it was funny, but one of my buds that I was watching the game

with said that this night could make history if the Bears pull this out -

because this could be only superbowl where if they won they would fire the

starting QB before the next season reguardless...

Either you're on crack, or you haven't watched many Super Bowls. Worse than Tony Eason (0-6)? Worse than David Woodley? Worse than Neil O'Donnell?

Was Grossman good? No. But he wasn't horrible either. He was average, and was put into a position where he had to make plays for them to win. The INT for a TD was the killer, and was a horrible pass - but so was Manning's INT in the first quarter. Grossman didn't lose the game for the Bears, the overwhelming Colts defense beat them.

There's almost no question Grossman will be the Bears QB next year. The organization loves him, and the players on the team love him. Does he need to work on his game? Substantially. Can he improve? Definitely.

And, just wondering, aren't you a Dolphins fan? 893scratchchin-thumb.gifyeahok.gif

27_laughing.gif Yeah, I won the third quarter block with my usually horrible 2-7 (almost won the final too).

can another easy win Again, and Again, and Again, and Again...

Good thing you won't have to worry about the Dolphins being there, so you can root for whatever team floats by. thumbsup2.gif

I don't have a lot of confidence in Grossman's decision making. Maybe that will get better, but with all the intense speculation regarding his performance, I'm not sure. If he was allowed to develop at a slower rate, maybe he would mature into the QB that he could be.

Sadly -- I'm not sure that will happen. I'm not quite certain who out there would be a significantly better choice though. Of course, I thought that if Garcia was available, they might consider him. But one of the main things he doesn't do well is throw the deep ball...

Nah, I'm OK with the team I root for losing in the Super Bowl. They played well all year, and came up short against a team that was better then they were last night. They'll be back. They got there, and will be better next year.

If they aren't there, I won't really have a rooting interest, as I only cheer for one team.

That's the spirit...

In all honesty, I still believe that if they get a QB that can keep a consistant

80 rating or above against tough apponents that they can go the distance next year...

I suffered many of years being a miami fan in upstate NY in the 80's -

just watching the AFC team tear themselves apart to get to the bowl then

seeing them destroyed by an NFC opponent was tough to see...

The powershift is with the AFC right now, I'm not sure how long it will last -

but after 13 years straight of NFC dominance, I am growing to enjoy it.

Another true Team fan

When your team suks so bad that you have to ridicule others about their team speaks volume about a persons character sleeping.gif

The Bears made it to the SB with a so/so QB, while Miami had probably one of the biggest numbers QB in his hayday but could only watch the SB on their TV sets 27_laughing.gif

Grossman needs to get better and they have a shot at making it to the big dance in the future, while Danny boy (big stats and all) can only wish he had a ring to back up his numbers tonofbricks.gif
