Lily Renee at San Diego

35 posts in this topic

Lily Renee is going to be at the San Diego Comic Con and I won't, which is a big tragedy.

Anyway, is anyone going who plans to have books signed by her? I have one book which I'd love to have made into a signature series. I'm willing to pay shipping and slabbing costs if someone could help accomplish this goal.

I'm also willing to provide drinks at Brenda's Tiki Hut if you're ever in Sacramento.

I have never heard of her. If I can find a book that she has done, I may see about doing a SS book. Seank, PM me.

Planet Comics, Rangers Comics, Wings comics are just a few titles. Lily Renee is a GA artist. Check the Grand Comic Book Database. thumbsup2.gif

That is so amazing that she's turned up after all these years. I would love to get a Fight 47 cover signed by her. What other covers has she done?

Tha'ts exactly the book I was going to have signed! Probably a good choice as she put her name on the cover back in the 1940s.

I wonder/hope that she can bring some samples of her art to the Con. Bob Fujitani did that and I picked up 3 strip dailys from him - every time I look at them I remember the wonderful conversation we shared.

Yeah, I really dig Senorita Rio and I always loved that cover even though it's not her best work (the foreshortening is a little screwy) and it's the only Senorita Rio cover that she did (I think Bob Lubbers did the rest). It's also one of my wife's favorita covers and she's not that interested in comics at all. I've had two low grade copies over the last year and sold them both and I passed on the Crippen copy a while back because I was buying something else. foreheadslap.gif
