my pick was between 8.5/9.0 but i went with 8.5 because it was DC!

i was torn 8.5/9.0 as well, but figured it was production damage at the top, and went witht he higher guess.

I knew the top edge was 'factory', but still went with 8.0

The damage appears to be a printing defect. I have a few higher grade books with the same effect on the top edge.
