PGM Incredible Hulk #105

For your consideration, The Incredible Hulk #105. Yes, that is a piece of tape on the front cover, as well as a ghost of a piece of tape on the back cover. Not sure why Hulk has only four toes on this cover...

I'm thinking the tape drops it too at least a Fine 6.0? The front still looks nice, with the exception of the tape.

Shame about the tape. My first thought from the front cover was 5.5, but the back cover makes clear the amount of staining from the tape. Nice as the book looks otherwise, I'd give it a 4.5.

Tape is bad, while the rest of the book looks good - strong colors and good corners. Another one on those "if only.." situations.

 

I would also give it a 4.5 as I don't believe, per the OS CB Grading Guide, a FINE book can have tape.

 

Maybe your book is a rare four-toe variant?

Thanks for the clarification on the tape vs. condition. I'd say 5.0 then but I think it's still closer to Fine than VG.

Thanks very much for all the grading thoughts. Yes, another "if only" is on the mark. I'll consider this one in the range of 4.5 to 5.0.

I have never graded a book with tape above VG...Even if it is a 9.0 otherwise. Tape to me seems like too much of a defect to get a Fine grade.
