october
Whitney had some great covers, including the Lunatic romance cover that's under-appreciated, probably because it's so tough to find. Good mail day!

Larryw7
These should be listed as big fish that got away. Well maybe not so big but I have been trying to get this group into my collection for a while. Ad is from All Flash 8. I only have one in decent shape. Star Spangled. cheetah
This came out of an estate sale of an aviation hobbiest, I paid 100.00 for it. not a bad copy at all. Suprizingly white for its age 1941 Too cool, and I think $100 is a great deal considering how pristine that looks. I agree. $100 is a wonderful price for that book. Ogden Whitney is under appreciated, I think. Maybe because he spent most of his later career toiling in relative obscurity at ACG. $100 qualifies as a steal. Only in GA can you get logos like that. I really like the primitive feel of a lot go the 1940 books. It didn't take long for artists to gravitate towards a similar style in comics. 1940 seems to be the time artists would draw something without a lot of influence from the broader community. adamstrange
I think you did well with that copy of Whirlwind 1. It looks to be a particularly attractive 8.5 and I say that even after inspecting the Church copy closely last summer.
