That is a marvelously action packed cover by Maneely! :applause:

I don't typically collect Atlas Westerns but Maneely knew how to draw mayhem and the Two-Gun Kid issues in that range generally have some stories by the manic C.F. Miller and I seek those out ... balanced by the staid but dependable Jack Keller and then the issue is rounded (or I should said pointed out) by Ayers at a time when most of his characters could split a cliff with their nose and chin.

I am not sure where I posted the last group of Cheslers but here are a few more.

I think I have 3 or 4 more but they are more cartoony than the early Punch.

Definitely a cool cover! :golfclap:

Beautiful cover.

Wow! I've never even seen a copy aside from the one in the Gerber's Photo-Journal. That is a difficult book probably as hard to acquire as the Master Comics 23. Congrats on your purchase!

I have a coverless copy of Master 35 somewhere but the cover is what makes it so spectacular.

And by the way, there is no Flame story in Master 35. Jolly Roger is the villian in the CMJ story. Master 71 has the Man in the Metal Mask story which is more like the Flame seen on the Master 35 cover. Perhaps Fox had a patent on the character.

A couple more lovely books were waiting for me on my return from Europe :)

Oddly, they were entombed in some sort of plastic cases. I've since liberated them.

Here are the before and after pictures
