I am curious about what looks like a gripper hole or something at the top left edge of the front. It has a nearly identical nick on the back cover, but the interior pages do not have the same mark. Is this from the production process? How do you think it effects the grade?

Yes, that is a production related tear.

 

As far as grading goes... confused-smiley-013.gif

 

That's a gorgeous NM-ish copy, but I personally wouldn't call it NM with the tear.

 

Maybe 8.5/9.0 if I was selling it. Who knows, maybe CGC would disregard it completely.
