That's a Slam Bradley story? I had no idea that he had time travel / science fiction adventures. I thought he was just a hard-boiled detective. Does the genre label fit this story at all?

Fun fact:

 

Slam Bradley debuted in Detective Comics #1 (March 1937) and his strip ran until issue #152 (October 1949).

 

 

Here is his debut. Someone else can post his swan song.
