He created more than 100 classic covers for Fiction House, but still he remains an unknown name to most comic collectors. He isn't singled out in Overstreet's listings and I don't think he's ever been included in any best artist's lists voted on by comic fans. That's in my opinion. ] Here is a chronological photo listing of his covers: Joe Doolin Covers Before he started work in the comic field, Doolin was illustrating stories and painting covers for pulp magazines. I haven't found much info about him online. If anyone can point me to any source that has biographical or career details, I'd sure appreciate it. Here though are a few pages from an interior - it may be from #17 but my current copy is graded so I cant doublecheck.
