selegue
...Oh boy, Devo references. I collect records, too. Are we not surprised? OK, let's see the The Quarrymen records and The Beatles – Yesterday and Today butcher cover. Jack
skypinkblu
Yeah, but they stole the idea from The Island of Dr Moreau "The Devo song Jocko takes its line "Are we not men?" indirectly from the book through the 1933 movie." and 1933 was close to 1940, therefore, maybe the whip was from the movie too...and Uh, oh, I'm starting to sound like other people.. BangZoom
OK, let's see the The Quarrymen records and The Beatles – Yesterday and Today butcher cover. Jack I've owned several Beatles Butcher Covers, but regrettably they were sold many years ago.

FlyingDonut
<<>> VERY cool, FD. I love seeing those old fanzines. Anyone else have copies of any zines circa 1958-1964? I've been selling a lot of them over the past couple of months. Here are a couple I still have floating around - sold a pile of early RBCCs and Comicollectors and deleted the scans. BB-Gun
<<>> VERY cool, FD. I love seeing those old fanzines. Anyone else have copies of any zines circa 1958-1964? BZ, Here are a few that I had available. Jerry Bails had scans made of all of his old fanzine material, i.e., K-A, Comicollector, On the drawing board, All star Index, and etc. I think someone should copy all of the old ditto fanzines before they disappear because the ink seems to fade. Or maybe my eyes are not as good as they used to be. bb

Here's his take on Santa. WOOO-HOOOOO! Kelly is my favorite cartoonist (usually). Great stuff! Which book is this from? Are the pages earlier today from the same one? Thanks for all the page scans.
