what is the best insurance to get for original art????

2 posts in this topic

Hello, I want to get insurance to cover my original art pages. I realize my homeowners will not cover the true cost. I had Collectibles Insurance, but they jacked up their rates 50%, went from $50 to $75 and something about not being an authorized Ohio insurance company, made me nervous. But I like the idea that I don't have to pay someone to appraise my art. That was a problem, because no one around here would appraise it, I think I knew more then any of them. So, do you guys have a suggestion? I might go back to Collectibles Insurance. Any opinions, suggestions?? Thanks for any help....DOOM!!!!

I use Collectibles Insurance for both my business and my personal collection. Is that $75 rate annual for you? If so that seems like a reasonable price to know that your art is covered. Works out to like $6.50 a month (or 2 new comics).

Now their dealer rates are another story sorry.gif
