Six Doc Savage pulps - 1942 - bound volume

1 post in this topic

For sale: a nicely bound collection of Doc Savage pulps from 1942.

March -- The Too-Wise Owl

April -- The Magic Forest

May -- Pirate Isle

June -- The Speaking Stone

July -- The Man who Fell Up

Aug -- The Three Wild Men (hypo on cover)

The April issue has about a 1 inch tear in the right side of the cover

The July issue is the "flag" issue. In July of 1942, as part of a

nation-wide effort, at least 350 magazines, from Time and National

Geographic to American Hairdresser, featured the American flag on

their covers.

These are great for reading - you can read each issue with minimal wear-and-tear

on the other copies. The color on the covers is great - bright and vibrant.

The pages have probably been trimmed to fit.

Page quality is ok - off-white. THere is some browning on the inside

of the front and back covers.

I'm asking $240 -- that's $40 per pulp. A decent price for '42 pulps.

Send PM if interested -- thanks, gozer
