CHELMSFORD, MA - A special "Fan Appreciation" edition of the Chelmsford Comic Book Show will be held on Sunday, April 15. The promoters want everyone to see what has become one of the best one-day comic conventions in America, so they are inviting collectors from throughout the region to check out the show for the low admission price of just $1.

 

But that's not all! Fans who come in costume dressed as their favorite comic book characters will be admitted free of charge! There's no better time to check out what has quickly become known as "The Biggest Small-Town Show in the Country!"

 

The show, organized by Larry's Comics of Lowell, will be held at the Radisson Hotel and Suites, located at Exit 34 off Interstate 495 in Chelmsford, MA. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the convenient location features plenty of free parking.

 

"I'm very proud of what the show has become in three short years: the best assembly of comic related collectables in new england," said promoter Larry Doherty, "and i want everyone to have the chance to check it out."

 

Top dealers from all over New England will be on hand offering a wide selection of comics from the Golden Age to the hottest new releases, toys, collectibles, anime, and other pop culture ephemera. With over 1 million comics being offered, there is sure to be something for collectors of all ages and all interests. Dealers at the April 15th show will include Art's Comics, Baron's Collectibles, Bedrock Comics, Bill Nolan, Bob's Card and Comic, Comically Speaking, Dave Moulder, Double Midnight, Fantasy Land, Finar Comics, Greg's Comics & Sports Cards, Greg Moutafis, Jetpack Comics, Jimmy from Bop City, Paul Conrad (The Comic Fan's Comics), Scott Pellin, Scott Reilly, Scott Sevegney, Stadium Comics, Temptation Comics, Tim Knowles of Comics Etc., and Tom's Closeout Toys. Local comic creators Jason Casey, Kris Carter, Adam Miller, and Rich Woodall will also be on hand to showcase their independent publications.

 

Over the last two years, thousands of comic book fans from the Merrimack Valley have attended these shows, filling gaps in their comic collections, picking up much-coveted collectibles, and meeting numerous comic industry superstars, such as Ethan Van Sciver, Robert Kirkman, Rags Morales, Arron Lorpesti, and Billy Tan. This month's low-cost show is the perfect opportunity for everyone else to experience just what the Chelmsford Comic Book Show has to offer.
