Comic book art website question...

Hey, I'm creating a comic book art website for a class.

 

Is it recommended to shoot an e-mail out to the artists to get permission to post a page or two of their work (like maybe the stuff that Newsarama posts). I could post a link back to their site.

I think you would be fine with simply providing credit for each piece.

Yes, definitely will do the credit part.

 

My brother was saying that as long as I wasn't making any money off the site then I'd probably be in good shape.

if it's for a class, you have a little more wiggle room ...
