mrbedrock was asked on another thread to post the back cover of his great 3. that reminded my that some g.a. books have wonderful back covers that we almost never get to see scanned. here are two i had handy--weird thrillers 3 and silver streak 5.

I am kind of a sci-fi nut too, and nothing says High Tech Sci Fi quite

like Captain Video. Following are the front and back covers for the six issues

of the run. Keep in mind, when you eyeball them, how the villians, bad guys,

space aliens etc. always manage to be located just off screen....

There you have it. I hope you can now see why many say that the

technical wizardry introduced in the Captain Video TV series made all

that came after it obsolete!

I just love it when they incorporated back cover art. The Giant picking up the guy adds a whole different dimension to it. Funny thing is, I had a friend who had a great #3 and I must have picked it up a dozen times to look at, but I never saw the back cover because of the backing board and didn't want to pull it out. The front had a tape pull and my friend was sensitive about it. Thank's again for putting that up.

This story must be about the students living in our neighborhood that skip class if they can't find someone to drive them three blocks to campus.

Thanks for posting the series -- gotta be scarce in primo condition!

Do you have the Captain Science run too?

Jack

(or maybe the aftermath of one of their last-weekend-before-finals parties)

I don't have the Captain Science run. Have had them all at one time or another but never all together. For some reason, I really dig the Fawcett Sci-Fi books. Most, other than Vic Torry, are movie adaptions, and even Vic has a photo montage cover. I also really like the Ziff-Davis books like Lars of Mars and Space Patrol. I am trying to put a nice run of the Tom Corbetts from Dell together next. Some of those have cool back covers as well.
