CGC Updated Again - 8/18/03

I really hope that all those buying NM (or better) copies of a lot of the Key Bronze books see how many new copies are graded NM or better in just a TWO WEEK PERIOD.

 

Hulk #181 - 12 new in 9.4 or better

Giant Size X-Men #1 - 15 new in 9.4 or better

Conan #1 - 17 new in 9.4 or better

 

It seems that the market is getting flooded with these books. And who's says there aren't anymore "raw" high grade books.

These census numbers are from 7/17 to 8/13, so it's about 4 weeks...

but that still doesn't change your point...

That is a litte bizzarre (high) for a month. I'm more troubled by a key that was likely not hoarded at simailar levels (and probably had a smaller print run too?) compared to the others you listed... X-Men 94 in 9.6 has jumped unexpecdedly. (3) in the last month and I think maybe (7-8) in the last 6-8 months. I wonder if there is any data that reveals if there is any trend relating to months with higher numbers of HG keys being graded by CGC?.. or if its a relatively even and steady flow throughout the year??

As far as I know, no one outside of CGC has been tracking

the census population numbers (full scale) before now...

(There are "snapshots" in books like Standard Catalog, though.)

Ask me again in about 11 months.

is it just me, or do the census figures really single out the Aurora Model booka as real easy to stay away from?? Not that they were ever anything to get excited about in th efirst place...but literally boxes must hav eben found for so many 9.8s and BETTER!!! to be graded in such multiples!?
