Kudos to...

Doug Schmell (captain_tripps)** I recently had the pleasure of meeting Doug in person at Wizard World Philly. As anyone can tell from his participation on the boards, Doug is a real "down to earth" fellow that enjoys collecting and talking comics... and also sharing his most prized possessions and the cool stories behind them. I was impressed with his willingness to let us common folk gawk at, and handle several of his most killer CGC books. He didn't even seem the least bit concerned or apprehensive doing so. I know my eyes would never have left the books.

Anyway, we also made or first direct deal (although some of his books landed in my collection via 3rd party before I knew him personally). I feel privileged to have put a "keeper" (ASM 151 9.6oww) into what is possibly the BEST (or at worst top 2-3) high grade CGC collections on the planet. Doug sent payment very quickly and the pleasure was all mine. I look forward to many more deals, hopefully with myself on the buying end of more of his killer bronze books. Thanks Doug!

Additional Kudos...

Joshua Hunter (beelzabub) ** for a very fair deal on a modern 9.8. Safe packing, great price... bring your 9.6 hulks to Joshua.

(lighthouse)** Again... another great experience from the TPBKIng! My package of trades arrived safe and sound and also with a few unexpected surprises for the unavoidable delay (that was certainly with good cause/explanation). Thanks 'House!

Kudos to...

George Omalley (gman)** It finally happened even though I doubted it ever would. Bought a nice 9.8 CM off G and flipped it for $250 to one of his disgruntled ex-customers 20 minutes later... Just Kidding. The deal was pretty easy and the book arrived safely soon after. Thanks G

Jeff Resnick (jordanabigail)** for ongoing deals both ways! Always a pleasure and thanks for bringing your "for sale" books to me first as always. I appreciate it.

Greg Loey (greggy)** for yet another fair deal. Thanks also for the opportunity to admire your 72 book CGC shipment. Some of the sweetest DC books I've ever seen!

More coming soon for Paradise/Peter Dixon (hopefully) 893crossfingers-thumb.gif

Nice list!

I need to update my own list soon... but it almost might be easier to list the people who I haven't done deals with. foreheadslap.gifcloud9.gif One of my former managers recently starting posting here, I wonder if signing his paychecks counts as a deal? 893scratchchin-thumb.gif Probably a positive one, since most of them didn't bounce. tongue.gif

Thanks again for starting this thread Bruce, it's one of the two best on the boards... 893applaud-thumb.gif893applaud-thumb.gif893applaud-thumb.gif

House, I would think of it as a positive. Your pack mule goes a little faster when delivering paychecks (and W-2's). Must be because they aren't as heavy. laugh.gif

Hey where's the disturbing Kudos you said you were gonna leave me.... devil.gif27_laughing.gif

KUDOS to BigMan... for sending me 103lbs of porno comics that were so depraved they made ME want to claw out my own eyes with the shattered remnants of an AOL 6.0 CD...

...thankfully I was able to find a local serial killer who was interested in trading a half-empty bottle of lotion resting inside of a small basket for them...

I hope one day to be able to get up the courage to dispose of the basket... but for now it sits as a reminder of the horror that was once part of my life... I take little comfort in the news that the man who traded for the comics committed suicide halfway through the process of sorting them... because the crime scene investigators assigned to the case recorded only 101lbs of comics at the scene...

I know that somewhere... out there... those 2lbs of comics wait for me...
