Print Runs..

Can someone tell me a good source to find the size of print runs for specific books? I figured this would be of great help when deciding which books to slab...

I'm looking forward to the 2nd edition... to be released Oct. 31, 2003.

 

One note on the 1990s "Modern Age" print runs... some of them appear much too low.

It's like they used the numbers from one distributor... who may or may not have

had a big piece of the pie. Some of the early Valiant numbers are about 1/3

of the actual print runs... so it's possible that is true for other publishers.

That's what they did.... so the Diamond monopoly numbers from the late 90s are accurate, but some of the numbers from the multiple distributor era are a bit off. I think there's a write up about this in the intro section of the catalog where they outline the difficulty of digging up old numbers from defunct distributors.
