Insurance for your comic collection

Does anyone have their comic collection insured? What all did you have to do to get it insured? Meaning, did your insurance company make you take pictures of everything or get a certified estimate of value from a comic book store? I have a collection I would estimate at about 70-80k in value (half of that value in CGC comics). Probably, a handful worth around a thousand or more a comic. Should I get them insured through renters insurance or some other type of insurance? Is it worth it? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Filed an application with CIA for 60k worth of insurance yesterday and was approved in a couple of hours. Thanks for the great info. Now I can have a little piece of mind about the security of my comics.
