The next modern age gems...

Do you guys think that in the Ultimate spider-man run, we'll have some nice gems in the near future?!

Not of they continue along the current path. Some original content needs to come in, that means newly created characters and situations that we have not seen before.

All the Ultimate lines are currently is a set of glorified reprints. Why would you attach a long term premium to something thats been done before?

I just found these numbers today:

Top CGC Submissions - By Title (regardless of issue #)

1. Amazing Spider-Man Marvel Comics 41,630

2. X-Men Marvel Comics 21,352

3. Daredevil Marvel Comics 11,623

4. Fantastic Four Marvel Comics 10,965

5. Ultimate Spider-Man Marvel Comics 9,719

6. Batman D.C. Comics 8,416

7. Uncanny X-Men Marvel Comics 8,338

8. Incredible Hulk Marvel Comics 8,207

9. Wolverine: The Origin Marvel Comics 6,434

10. Avengers Marvel Comics 5,925

11. Detective Comics D.C. Comics 3,977

12. Wolverine Marvel Comics 3,823

13. Wolverine Limited Series Marvel Comics 3,663

14. Captain America Marvel Comics 3,576

15. Superman D.C. Comics 3,029

I would be VERY afraid to put any significant dollars into a brand-new series that

has more CGC graded copies than Marvel or DC series that are 35 to 65 years old.
