Captain America #100 -- from the same lot that included FF#48

From the same collection that I previously posted FF#48.

 

Can someone explain the brown stains? There is no evidence of moisture damage on the cover or within the pages. My guess is that after 40 years of sitting in a corrigated box and seasonal room temp. changes has caused staining.

What about mold and rot? Where they in a humid climate like that of Michigan or Ohio area? If so with the constant moist and dry climate that would do it. It's still a cool book to have. Enjoy it.

The comics don't have any oder at all.

 

My wife with the hyper-sensitive nose whould have sniffed it out the moment I brought them in the house.
