How does "foxing" affact grade?.. (light foxing)

4 posts in this topic

It would really help to see a scan because light foxing may mean vastly different things to different people. Is "light foxing" 3 small dots, or is it a whole lot of dots but they are not dark? What grade is the book to begin with?

To answer your question, it may not affect grade at all or it may reduce it up to 8.0 points.

a whole lot of dots.. that are light .. mostly seen on the back... without the foxing this issue would be aorund a 9.. (its a silver age key comic).. just curious.. its a great book either way

If there are a substantial number of foxing marks it sounds as if it would reduce the grade of an otherwise 9.0. How much is impossible to know without images.
