I love the L Miller books...

So here is a first issue of, "Secret Story"!

Secret Story #1 (1955 - L. Miller & Son Ltd.)  A UK edition of the USA title of the same name but numbered 20 with a February 1956 copyright.  Simultaneous publishing?

I'm sorry Colletta rushed the cover of this one because he did really nice interiors.  Don't judge a book by its cover!

Davenport Askew & Co. Ltd. !  Printing looks pretty aligned...  hm

This is a straight match to the USA #20 by content, but of course it's only the black plates.  Beautiful...  glorious...  black.

I'll start with the Pike story....

And then we got the BAKER!

Something really strange going on first that first panel.  Then we see the master's confidence of hand pull through...

Wooof.

AND there's another Pike after for dessert.

Anyone got the 20 wallet-photo mail order set?  Come on kids, it only takes four gift vouchers to order the set!!

This book is small.  "Vertically challenged" as the kids used to say...

Beautiful book with rusty staples.  Hmmm... I'd grade it a 7.0.

I don't know...  if you read that first Baker panel and don't break out laughing...  :roflmao:

"I wish you'd say 'yes' more often, Alice!"
