My guess is the violence and the Wolvie butt shot could've garnered a PG-13, but it's like the F bomb was dropped in to make sure it got there. It serves no purpose in the film. Or at least, it serves little purpose. It served even less purpose in the XMFC movie. I must have missed something. Are you referring to the scene where Wolverine shows up at the school and the Professor is doped up and delivers the same response Wolverine gave him ten yrs earlier? Eh never mind Comicopolis addressed that above. Yea it wasn't completely necessary but I think he was trying to get his point across to Logan in the moment. And watch First Class then it might make some sense I DID watch First Class, thus the numerous references to First Class and my acknowledgement that, in DOFP, it might serve the kind of stupid point of tying the two times/movies together. My point is this: It wasn't needed in First Class and it wasn't needed here. Ok so in your opinion it was a stupid point to quote Wolverine in that moment even though it made sense. Got it

Saw it yesterday. As suspected, Singer redeemed himself with this movie. I really wish he stuck around for X3. On a somewhat related note the trailer for Hercules was so crappy I laughed out loud when I saw Ratner directed it.

Jeez with all the clips I feel like I could watch most of the movie. So far Ive skipped them all except for the trailer.

Ps sociopath does not necessarily mean criminal. You could be living with a sociopath and not know it. Here's a test-ask them: A woman goes to her father's funeral and meets the man of her dreams her soul mate. But he leaves before she can get his number. A week later she murders her sister. Why do you think she did that? Does that fact that I don't know the answer to this question mean I am relatively normal or that I am a sociopath? I"m guessing the options are either to murder the sister to get the guy to show up to another family funeral, or maybe the non-sociopath thing to do would be to check the guest book and see if any single men signed and approach it that way... You would be diagnosed as a sociopath as anyone else wouldn't even be able to conceive the answer to get him to show up at another funeral....but it is not necessarily a bad thing. The emotional detachment of a sociopath can make the greatest heroes....or villains.... I think you did that wrong. I think you say she forgot to get the number and ask how she would go about getting it. If the person then answers kill another family member then they would be a sociopath. I thought the correct answer was to get the entire inheritance.

If this were a time period where outrageous colors were "in" I guess that might be true...like if it were the 80's or 90's. Aren't they just creating costumes of characters that already exist in comics or video games? They aren't choosing wild- colors because they like them, they choose them because they are accurate to the character. Rock stars dress that way because they have money and access to anything they want at any time they want. Not all Superheroes have an AmEx Black Card. Black clothing is cheap and everywhere. Also, if I were being hunted for being different (like mutants being hunted by mutant-killing Sentinel robots) the last thing I would do is attempt to stand out be choosing the wildest color possible. Aren't comic books around to think and skew away from the realm of real-life? Superman, Batman, and Spider-man costumes have maintained their comic book look generally speaking. Dude if I was Magneto I would dress 100% the same way he did. Dressing over the top and wanting man-kind to suffer. So are you saying Magnetos purple outfit with cape and helmet isnt good enough?

What didn't you like about Azazel? He looked cool and they used his teleporting in highly interesting ways. Loved the scene where he kept porting the CIA agents up into the air and dropping them. I concur, Azazel was an interesting character. Having said that even I think they could've left Riptide out. First Class for me is one of those movies that I can watch over and over and never get tired of it. The DOFP trailer looks great and Im under the impression Singer feels somewhat bad for abandoning us on X3 and wants to make it up to himself and the fans.
