  1. What would you do if you saw a book for sale in a plastic tomb, but you noticed that the wrong label and details had been attributed to the book. Would you tell the Seller or keep quiet and bid on it anyway? Would you take the view that the seller should know what he was selling?...especially as he claimed to have had the book since new.

  9. Thanks CAP, I never could really afford the books I wanted until now. My father had runs of showcase, early action comics/ detective comics, submariner and god knows what else & my grandmother gave away the chest he kept them in when he went to Vietnam. So now between hearing his stories of these damn books and seeing yours (as well as the others on here) ive been more than inspired to try and get some back, and amass my own at the same time. I figure the silver age is a good place to start. Great LL1. I recently posted an LL 1 in 1.8 (its in my registry). I was chuffed to little bits with it, as it was quite nice for a 1.8 and relatively cheap. Congrats on your 4.5 No need to be embarrassed about Lower grade issues...a lot of people collect 'em (thumbs u

  15. Wonderful cover! In fact, Kane's Atom series is one of the best short runs of the Silver Age. Maybe it's worth posting this scan over on the Silver Age Survivor thread to support Kane's cause. (Anderson's already gone!!!) I'll post it if you don't mind. Oh, and "That's the nicest 5.5 I've ever seen." That's the proper response to a CGC graded book, right? I have two Atom #1s, but I'm afraid that added together they wouldn't crack 5.5. Jack Feel free to post Jack..and thanks for the kind words
  16. Don't see much wrong with that beauty. 5.5? Congrats! Thanks JT
