  1. Lots of color breaking creasing on this one, but the biggest issue is the front page is about 3/4 split and loose from the bottom up. The back cover is split for about 1 /12" from the bottom. No other internal issues aside for some corner bends, but all pages are intact. I feel like on its face I know where this lands, but I don't have a good grasp on seam splits and their impact. Also this one isn't a keeper, so I will be getting this graded just so I have an agreed on rating, but I'm also assuming a pressing won't really do anything for where this book is at currently and will probably just go with it as is. Any opinions on that aspect? Thanks!!
  2. Thanks gang. Fortunately this and #2 were really the only thing ate up in the group purchase, but OF COURSE it had to be the #1. 😄 Here's the #2 for funs and laughs...
  3. Solid advice. I do have a handful of other Pre-1975 right now due to this group buy (some ASM, Sub-Mariner 1, Cap 100, etc) so I may just toss it in and see how it goes. Thanks for the looks and feedback folks!
  4. I am at a total loss on how to handle this one. Picked this up last week in a group buy. Obviously a mouse or something got to it at some point, but I'm not sure if slabbing is the way to go with it. Other than the obvious, there are some light non color breaking creases and a bit of a curve that should probably benefit from a press, but is all that business even worth it with that edge damage?! Really a shame as otherwise it would present pretty dang well IMO. Thoughts on where damage like this would land it?
  5. Given the associated risks and time involved with getting it pressed and then regraded I think I would personally be super happy with the current condition. (Unless there's just something else major I'm not seeing.)
  6. Really have enjoyed lurking the last few years, but decided to finally sign up for the boards in order to get some opinions in the Spare A Grade forum. Been working in shops since I was 13 and next month my wife's comic shop turns 25!
  7. 1st time, long time...... Looking for any thoughts on my Amazing #50. Items of note: Small separation of top staple, but still connected to the cover. A "bubble" on the back top left. (That I'm hoping will lay flat after a press.) Some color loss scuffing along the spine. A small spine roll that I hope will also settle after a press. That's all the major stuff I can think of. Any feedback would be much appreciated! Thanks all!!
