  1. I’m kinda confused why a legacy set is not being updated. With the wolverine complete with variants legacy set a lot of the slots show up in different spots in the same set. Also the title set is still coming out with new books every month.

@Chuck K There are no updates or changes being made to Legacy sets at this time.

The recommendation is to move books to the respective volumes that comprise the Legacy sets. If the volume needed is not present, please do request it.

My worthless advice...first, if you haven't already, go back to your order confirmation email and pull up your invoice and make sure you requested a 9.8 prescreen and not 9.6. Not saying you did or didn't but mistakes happen and I've learnt the hard way that I make them all the time. Second, if it was a 9.8 prescreen my understanding is that if you contact customer service that they'll credit you back for the 9.6 books. Like I said mistakes happen. But you did pay $55-$85 (grading fees depending on membership discount and less $5 reject fee) for something you didn't request, so yes ask for a refund.

Unfortunately your advice was right. I checked my email from cgc and it doesn't appear I selected the prescreen option

  4. What should I do? I had 25 books received 5/24 for pre-screen modern fast track. On 7/1 the book shipped/safe. I did a 9.8 pre-screen. Cgc graded all 25 books but 5 books came back at a 9.6. I'm glad my books were graded in 30 business days when I was expecting 86 days but I am a little upset that I had to pay for the 5 9.6 books. Should I contact cgc ask for a refund?

  5. I feel like I cheated the system. I had a mechanical error, reholder, and 2 fast track moderns delivered on 3/22. The ME was received on 3/23 and the reholder and 2 fast tracks were received today. I did write ME all over the box with a sharpie.

Hopefully Carma won't bite and give me less than 9.8s

  6. Sorry if this has been asked and answered already. This is my first time sending in a submission in almost two years. I sent in 25 moderns for a quick press and fast track pre screen. My books were received on 6/1. Will the status change once the quick press starts? Or will the status change when the books are transferred to cgc for grading?

  7. I am trying to sell my John Bryne fan experience ticket to the fan expo boston. The fan experience is for Sunday August 12th 2018 at 230pm.

This ticket cost me 125.00 but I am not able to make it to the con this weekend ?. I would would be willing to sale for 100.00 obo.

I have the email link I can forward to you that has a barcode that will be scanned to get into the event. It has my name on it but I believe they only scan the barcode and not check for id.

Take a look at the image below to see what you get with the fan experience.

I also have a sunday only ticket for sale if needed.

  8. I used to have a number of Wizard Authentic books. They are very tough to find in high grade and I think most of the ones I had graded were the only graded copy.

As far as not warranting a spot in the registry, there has been a long-term policy that there can be a set with variants and a set without variants. The problem with the Wizard books is they are very tough and chances are you may never find one. Does that mean they don't deserve a slot? My personal opinion is that they do.

My feeling is if a book can not obtain a universal grade then it shouldn't get its own spot. I know each book has to be reviewed individually but with the case of wolverine 102.5 it can only grade as a green label. There are a few signature series books out there but I don't understand how they got that label Since Cgc wasn't present when Boris originally signed the book

  9.

I am carrying over a conversation from the set expansion request thread regarding Wolverine 102.5 (wizard authentic variant).

I would like to know what everyone’s opinions are on Wizard Authentic variants having their own listings in the registry.

I feel Wizard authentic comics should be removed from having their own listings in the registry. Information on Wizard authentic comics is hard to find but here are a few reasons why these books should be removed. If my Thinking is out of line, please let me know.

One reason is, Wizard authentic issues were only sold as an autographed comics and a hologram seal was put on the front cover. With CGC not being present during the signing then the best it can grade out as is qualified. Second if it was sent out with the seal and not signed then it would still be a qualified issue because then it would be a defective book. So the only true wizard authentic editions should have a qualified green label and I don’t think someone should have to buy a green label book to complete a set.

From looking at the Wizard authentic comics listed in the registry that have pictures, I feel they have been mislabeled

I think these issues should be merged in as qualified copies of the regular issue that is already listed in the registry and not have its own listing.
