  4. Well, it's been a bit since I've posted a sales thread. I hope everybody out there is doing well. So, since I have a few different categories of stuff to list, I thought I'd lay it out in chapter form. A couple of rules: 1. Discounts listed apply to to the chapter they are in only. I'll do my best to make that abundantly clear, but any discounts listed apply to that specific book or to books in that chapter only. 2. I may close some chapters and leave others open. For instance, chapters 1 and 2 will probably close more quickly than chapters 3 and 4, as I'll move them to another venue if there's not much activity. 3. Don't be afraid to make offers on any or all books. I'm happy to entertain all offers. If I don't like it, I'll politely say No. Chapter List: Chapter 1 - CGC Slabs Chapter 2 - Assorted Silver/Bronze, raw Chapter 3 - Assorted Bronze, mid to high grade, raw Chapter 4 - A collection of low grade and coverless comics that I'm selling for a friend, raw
  5. Terms: Paypal, check or money order are all accepted. Feel free to PM me with offers. I will not laugh or take offense, so offer away. Shipping is what it costs me unless otherwise noted in the thread. Shipping is typically 1 to 2 business days after payment is received. rules unless an item is on hold. If I'm dealing with PMs, I try my best to put items on hold, but in the case of a conflict between a via PM and a in the thread, earliest timestamp wins out. I will not do business with anybody on the probation list or the Hall of Shame. If there is any pressing or restoration, I will list it. If not listed, condition is G or better. 100% Satisfaction Guaranteed. If you're not happy with it, you can return it for a full refund, including shipping costs both ways. This applies to both raw and slabbed comics, so buy with confidence.
  6. But only after a the majority of people started becoming familiar with resto. When that version of his "business model" quit working, now he discloses the resto, but still sells high grade books at inflated grades. That's been the common theme among all those sellers. Yes, they're high grade, but they're not the uber high grade that he lists them at, and if you notice, the pictures are angled such that they don't give you a good enough view to see all defects that might be present. At any rate, I would recommend everybody stay away from this guy, too, especially after this latest incident. I agree with Lord Rahl, this was fortunately, a relatively cheap lesson. It could have been much worse.
  7. Some more experienced people might want to chime in, but this seller bears a lot of resemblance to the guy who has been scamming for years, Danny Dupcak. He's also done business as comic-keys and robojo33. Google Danny Dupcak for more info.
  8. Dan paid quickly and was easy to work with. Thanks and I hope we can do business again, fellow Missourian.
  9. Dave paid quickly and was great to work with. I'd be happy to sell to him again.
  10. Mike is a great guy to work with and he's a fellow Arkansas Razorback fan, so you can't get much better than that! Seriously, MIke does a great job keeping in touch and he paid quickly. It's always a pleasure, Mike. Thanks again.
  11. Rob purchased several books from me and it was spread over a couple of weeks. He was great to work with and paid quickly. Thanks, Rob. I look forward to working with you again. (thumbs u
  12. Purchased an HP 8300 on ebay (still new in box). After a few issues (mostly old drivers and such from my previous scanners) it works like a champ. A tip for those of you installing scanner software, please turn off whatever virus program you have before trying to install (especially HP software). That was my problem, at any rate. If anybody has questions about the 8300, feel free to PM me. (thumbs u
  13. First, we're assuming that this is Danny/comickeys/robojo. Several of us assume this because these appear the same type of books as comickeys and robojo used to list. Yes, you are correct, this person has 100% feedback rating. Also, as some others have attested to and I can attest to myself, having dealt with robojo, he responds promptly and is perfectly willing to refund your money. In my case (and I had already bought several auctions before I realized who robojo was), I bought 4 books and returned 3. The 3 I returned were along the lines of advertised as 9.4 or 9.2, but then upon grading were only 8.0 or so. Plus, he didn't actually refund my money, he just gave me credit towards future purchases. The big issue is selling books as high grade when they are actually several grades lower than advertised. They look great, but aren't as high a grade as advertised, realizing a much higher sell price for the seller than if he listed them at their actual grade. The question is, is he overgrading on purpose to scam unsuspecting customers (while freely refunding for those customers that do call him on the grading) or is he just an over objective grader? It seems the former is more likely with his ability to spot resto and the sheer amount of high grade books that move through those user names. Also, this person is in the same part (same town?) as comickeys and robojo further bringing them under suspicion. This person (Danny, most likely) used to sell the comics without listing resto and again, would make a lot of money on the people who never double checked for resto or who never sent their books to CGC. We don't want to support a scammer who has done a lot of damage to the comic industry.
  14. Smells like old Danny. Just about every book is restored. I mean who color touches a Warlock 1? And Avengers Annual #2 Mint 9.9 "Extremely slight professional color-touch (1 microscopic dot of color touch on one tiny spine stress). No trimming." Only ComicKeys graded his restored books 9.9. Yep, my thoughts exactly.
  15. Just bumping an old post after a search on the name kellyssuperheroes These are looking more and more likely to be Dupcack books. There are a lot more high grade books up right now on ebay from kellyssuperheroes, so I just wanted to bump this again so anybody who hasn't seen this will be informed. (thumbs u
  16. Just sold David some Byrne FFs. He was great to deal with and paid quickly. Top notch gut (thumbs u Plus, we got to reminisce a bit about the old Marvel subscription sleeves. Good times.
  17. Recently bought the run of Warlock Special Edition from Tyler. Books were packed well and shipped quickly. They look great and were well graded. I would happily do business with Tyler again.
  18. That certainly is awesome! But you have ten sigs on there, right? I see they didn't list Kubert and someone else. They did list Kubert and Austin, but they had to do it in the note section to the right of the serial number (thumbs u The sigs are: Arthur Adams Terry Austin Brian Bolland Mike Grell Karl Kesel Joe Kubert George Perez (regular sig) George Perez (artist's sig)...I had it signed by George twice because I really wanted his artist's sig. Bill Sienkiewicz Berni Wrightson Even though he didn't actually work on this book, I'm really wanting to add Neal Adams.
  19. ROM #18 (now if only I could get Miller and Sal to sign it as well). Only sig on census.
  20. Even though there are 10 9.8 CGC SS of these on census (Actually, 5 of those 10 are this book in it's various stages of getting signed ), surely this one is unique.
