  1. That Suspense 28 is still on my want list. Cannot seem to find one. Here are a few issues I have not posted before. The JIUW 28 I just acquired last month after a long search. Did Harry Anderson ever do a bad cover? This one is particularly weird. It took me quite a while to find a decent copy of this issue. Artwork inside rather sucks by Allan Bellman. Now, these two issues are really difficult to find in grade. Issue # 3
  2. I haven't posted here in awhile. Dug out a few number ones from the archives.
  3. Picked this one up from Metro about 8 years ago. Has nice ow/w pages.
  4. Here's my copy. Don't think I have ever posted it before. Picked it up from a lot of Green lanterns at a Sotheby's comic auction years and years ago.
  5. Gorgeous JIM 69. What a tough issue in grade, wow! What a spectacular pre-hero display. Would love to rummage through those books!!!
  6. thought I would wake this thread up a little. I have tried for quite awhile to acquire Mystic 4 and 6, with a Wolverton story in each. Then bing-bang-boom, within one week, I was able to pickup each issue in excellent shape. Just outstanding FC colors on this copy that I just picked up. This is a newby, too. What a great cover. Perhaps, Burgos and Brodsky's best work.
  7. Here is mine. Lower grade, but it's nice to have one.
  8. Rick's quest has been a long one, and he has never wavered. True that
  9. "Start"? You mean these CLs aren't some of your nicer Bakers? What I meant was some remaining "nicer" Bakers'.
  10. Thanks guys. I'll probably start slabbing some of my nicer Bakers' into this year. I'll post them up as I receive them back.
  11. Some fresh slabs just back. The MGA 12 is just a mind blowing copy. Picked it up at a San Diego show in the late 90's.
  12. Well, I just received these back from CGC. The 28 came back pretty much as expected. The other 3 were about 0.5 grade lower than I thought they would be. But, overall I'm happy. Talk about bull #@%$ , the assigned CGC points for these: 8.5 = 70 pts, 7.0 = 40 pts and 6.0 = 25 pts.
  13. Some new recently acquired goodies. Yes, they are all as nice as they look. Back covers with no problems. They weren't cheap, but just too nice to pass up on. WOS # 2
  14. Here are some new recently acquired books. Tough book with some excellent Alex Toth art. This is an incredible copy, by far the nicest I have ever seen.
  15. This was like an 9.0 scale earthquake in the Atlas comics genre. I was able to secure 2 issues (22 and 26) which at the end appear almost reasonable. For the 4, 7,and 18 I dropped out at the 6K level which I swore I never thought I would venture. I thought when I stopped bidding, that would be it for each auction. But, the bidding went on. So, there were 2 or more other high end bidders for these books. I wonder if this consignor has a ST collection to match and if it will come to market?
  16. It is a beaut. What's amazing is I probably only paid $75.00 or so for it back in 1987. I sold off a large portion of my Atlas collection around 2000, but glad I held on to that one!!!
  17. This one always been an unsung book. One of my fav. Suspense issues.
  18. I'll join the 500 pages party with a few beauties. Love the top 10-20 poll. Don't agree with some picks. Certain Atlas covers are just smokin' in the market right now regardless of condition. More collectors seem to be coming in that are not completest, but are just picking out the best or iconic books for their collections. So the demand is exceeding supply of these great books. Probably could add this to the list. I like this issue better than the MT 8 or 14
