  1. Finally, I found a nice copy of this issue after 2 decades of searching. Just a beautiful strictly graded copy.
  2. Ol' man, those are some sweet copies of some choice issues. Congrats on your score!!!
  3. Incredible books. You just do not realize how difficult it is to find these issues in top grade, until you try to collect them.
  4. Well, I cannot over indulge too much, my head will start ringing.
  5. And, if you don't mind, I would like to bring along a couple of other friends.
  6. Looks 8-ish-tic ! Beautiful copy Rick! There are only 20 in the Census for that issue and that certainly is up there among the best! Let's see how long it takes for everyone's submissions to get thru grading and hit the census. From the sound of it, we should have at least 22 more copies added in the next year or two. -bc It's not Rick's copy...it's Kirby Jack's (Jack's) copy! It would be mine, when he sells it to me.
  7. Stunning books being posted. Congrats !!! This one has eluded me for quite awhile. Finally found a decent copy in Chicago. I loved the front cover colors on these and couldn't resist picking them up too.
  8. There seemed to be a fair abundance of decent Atlas books there. Dale Roberts, Terry's comics and Ted Vanliew all seemed to have inventory. Great show as usual.
  9. Some new pickups from the Chicago Con. I And this one I've had for quite a few years and decided to have it slabbed at the show.
  10. Yes you did! Thanks again for offering it to me!!!!!!!
  11. Rick, I believe this was your copy, yes? From the one a week thread? If so, is the grading strict at the moment? Cause your book looked nicer than a 6.0, imho, given what we can see in a fc scan. I know on-site can be weird, too. Nope, this is the Crippen copy that I scanned for that thread. It is nicer than the one slabbed.
  12. 6.0? Was this something you just got in the mail right before you headed to the Con? Cause it aint in the Census. I do know there is a time lag of 2 weeks? or so before the data is entered into that part of the front end, the display. A business rule that makes no sense to me, and I've complained about to no avail. Theoretically, it opens up a small window for arbitrage. Had it slabbed at the show. CGC is slow in updating the census. Other books I had slabbed are not in the data base neither.
  13. The 5.5 was a consignment. The owner may have taken it back. Rick Starr also had a PR 8 on consignment there. Actually, it is PR # 7 (CGC 6.0). I made a trade so Bedrock owns it outright. It is a sweet copy!!!
  14. Thanks guys!! Just years of patience and persistence. The Chicago show is just a great show for buying. While there, Ted of Superworld picked up a sweet bunch of Atlas and pre-code books and then offered them on Friday afternoon as soon as he had priced them. Looking forward to the Baltimore show in a couple of weeks. It's only about 36 miles from me.
  15. A new pick up from Chicago. Love this cover!!
  16. A very worth while trip for you, Art. The TOS # 18 did look better than the grade when you showed it to me. Terrific pick ups!! Torpedo had some very nice slabbed pre-hero books. I didn't pick up any new PH books, but I did have these copies slabbed at the show and needless to say, I am more than happy with the results.
