  1. Teen. Romances 9 (CGC 5.5) at $1027 on the 'Link and still going.
  2. Well, here is mine: Diary Secrets nn ANY! OK, These also, but that's it. I need a bunch of upgrades. Pictorial Romance 22 (VGF or better) Giant Comics Edition 5,6 (VGF or better)
  3. I have one. Me too. Whoa!!! Very Nice Alan.
  4. I do not see this one posted very often. Does everyone have this issue? # 7
  5. Nice. I needed the DS 18 as a big upgrade. My copy has a small chunk out of the spine. That DS 24 looked nice with sharp colors. TR 14 is a difficult one, too.
  6. That is a great cover, but $400 for a FN ? Someone wanted it bad. I did get the Astonishing 18, paid more than I wished. Nice condition precode Atlas horror are hot,hot....
  7. I feel that the Sixth Street books being offered on Ebay, with prices for all to see, may be one reason for the sudden stratospheric prices on the Bakers.
  8. Well, about the WTR 3, more than one person bidded the book up. So there was more than one who was willing to pay top dollar for it. I admit that I put what I thought would be a winning bid on it and lost by a wide margin. I did get the Diary Secrets 18, lost out on the TR 34 which also went for big bucks.
  9. Each of us will probably have differences on the HTF issues. I know that I hardly ever see Baker romance books at conventions. The rare occasion was when Harley Yee came up with a bunch years and years ago. Most of my pickups were through Ebay and auction houses,Comicconnect in particular. My toughest Diary Secrets, the previous mentioned 8 and 9, of course, but also 11 and 26. Teen.Romances 10,11,23, 35,41,45 True Love Pict. 7,9 WTR 13, 14 I acquired my 17 quickly, upgraded it to my current copy, sold off the other.
  10. Here's mine. Funny, I do not have the 14, but have all the others. I kind of thought 14 is a HTF issue.
  11. Is APC 18 rare? I think I have one sitting in a "I don't know what do do with these books" pile. I have two lower grade copies of APC 18. Not even scarce, IMO.
  12. How about GCE 13 or 15? Does everyone have either one or both of those books? Except for the Diary Secrets issues (nn, 7 and 9), the others, IMO, there are more than 10 copies but less than 20 that survived. That certainly qualifies as rare, but the later three are ultra rare.
  13. Wow Ken, after 10 years to now hear that story. Well, needless to say I thank you for enabling me to get the CL 28. Man, you have so many HG looking Bakers', you don't need this one. When the day comes to sell off, you get first dibs at it. (thumbs u
  14. I just still cannot get over the condition of this one. You've got a copy of CL 28 that's every bit as nice, though, don't you? How do I know that? Sure, you've posted a scan of it here in this very thread. But, tell me how I know this: You bought it from a seller in Canada who contacted you with it, out of nowhere, back in 2003. His initials are F. B. Have you ever shared that me, or with anyone? Heh heh heh! Maybe one day I'll tell you the rest of the story. For now let's just say, I've been kicking myself ever since. Well, here is the book you are referring to. But, like you said I got offered the book by an email message and of course accepted immediately. Actually, I had forgotten about it until reading your post. I don't remember the seller, etc. You definitely know more about it than I do.
  15. I just still cannot get over the condition of this one.
  16. We all "love" the cover, is that romantic enough?
  17. Absolutely sensational books. I knew about the Circle 8 find with some CL15. I did not know any came out that nice (9.0). But, where the heck did you get the CL 27 (8.5) ? That one really blows my mind.
  18. It's also what an 8.5 should look like. The JIM 68 was another issue from the, I refer to as, Oakleaf collection. I explained on a previous page ,awhile back, about this collection that was for sale at Chicago Con back in the 90's. Some books are still currently top or tied for top condition in the CGC census.
  19. I put up a few PH for sale in the sales thread Not These!
  20. Begone with you...... You only wish...
  21. I will see your TABOO and raise you a GOOM! Sweet books, well done Bill !!
  22. Wha', we slipped to page 2. Gotta do somethin' about that!
