  1. Perhaps a slight one, I don't remember for sure. Nothing major if there was one. I wish I had taken more pictures, I just snapped this photo right before packaging it up almost as a last-minute afterthought. The grader notes only mention "heavy bends to cover" and "moderate spine stress lines".
  2. Hello. Last November I sent in 8 modern books for cleaning/pressing and grading. They were "received" for clean & press forever then a few days ago went (it seemed) immediately to "grading/imaging". So maybe they didn't do the clean & press? I haven't been charged yet for any of it, which is odd. Well anyway, the comics are shipped and a comic that I thought would get a minimum of maybe 7.5 or 8 showed up as a 5.5! Graders notes say "heavy bends to cover". This is the only photo I have of it before I sent it off and I'll post photos of the slab when I get it. Do you think this book was close to a 5.5?
  3. The comic has shipped! Should I wait until I have it in hand to post the grade? Pressing helped it out quite a bit I think!
  4. Thank you all for your opinions and advice. I appreciate it!
  5. Wow, that's really interesting! I just checked and, yes indeed, there's the web stamp on the back. Glad to know that it's a cool comics side story instead of just a "sloppy" signature!
  6. Hello. I bought a group of comics and with the group was this green label Spider-Man 1. I'm personally fine with green labels for signed comics, as I'm getting several of my personal signed collection graded and it would fit right in. Problem is, this is a pretty dang ugly signature. Think this was signed in a rush by Todd? Thanks in advance for the help!
  7. Any thoughts on this one? The spine has a bunch of scuff marks.. There's a crease near that writing on the cover, but it doesn't seem to break color so I think it may be pressable.
  8. Hello. Thank you all for helping with my "grading education". Just got this copy of UXM 266 and was wondering what grade it would get if I were to send it in. Would that sticker on the back give it a green label? Thanks!
  9. Well, for me it's not too common and it is an important key. Plus, even at these low grades I think it helps bump the value more than what it would cost me to get it graded.
  10. I also grabbed these for pretty cheap at an estate sale. They are the 70's "Flashback" reprints but I've heard the Sub-Mariner one still holds some value. Would look pretty cool slabbed and on the wall, so from a distance it looks like I've got the real thing. Hehe
  11. Ha, fine here are the pics I have. Like I said, some of them I've already sent off to CGC and didn't take any pictures.
  12. Thanks for your help!I was thinking about the "cleaning" side of C&P maybe helping, but I might just hold off on sending this in until I have more super low grade stuff that won't benefit from C&P.
  13. Hello. I recently picked this up and planned on sending it to CGC. Curious what you all thought the grade might be with that big chunk missing from the top corner and the other tears. I usually just send all of my books to be cleaned and pressed so I don't get a whole separate invoice and shipping charge, but do you all think it will improve this grade at all? Thanks for the input! I appreciate it!
  14. Hello. I recently picked this up and was curious what you all thought the grade would be. I plan on getting it cleaned and pressed. It does have the value stamp. Thanks in advance for the input!

  17. How do you delete a thread? I see the edit option, but that's it.
  18. Hello. Just picked this up for $255. I think I got a good deal, but any idea what grade to expect? I usually get stuff pressed and I think that might help the spine roll. Thanks!
